The fifteenth studio album released by Diana Ross & The Supremes for the Motown label, Love Child was the group's first proper studio LP not to include any songs written by any members of the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team, but the hit single 'Love Child' returned the Supremes straight back to the Billboard Hot 100's number-one position.
