dim star emerged in 2023 after co-writing and producing Allison Russellās Grammy-winning The Returner. On their self-produced first release, they lean into mystery and melancholy, blending synths, drum machines, and ghostly harmonies in a dreamlike mosaic for the eclectic pairing of the acclaimed emcee (woods) and the alt-folk queen (Mitchell).
